Dr. David Jagger serves as Principal of Damascus School in the Wayne Highlands School District. As an educational leader, Dr. Jagger is committed to providing students with a safe, supportive, and engaging school environment where academic achievement, personal responsibility, and strong relationships are valued.
Damascus School serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 8, giving its administration, faculty, and staff the unique opportunity to support children throughout some of the most important years of their educational development. Dr. Jagger's leadership helps foster a school culture centered on student success and the strong connection between the school, families, and the surrounding Damascus community.
Leadership Through Community
A defining characteristic of Damascus School is its close-knit community. Dr. Jagger recognizes the important partnership that exists among students, parents, teachers, support staff, and community members in creating a successful educational experience.
His leadership has also been evident during challenging circumstances. During the transition to remote learning in 2020, District communications identified David Jagger as the building principal responsible for assisting Damascus families with remote-learning materials and support, demonstrating the hands-on role of school leadership in maintaining connections with students and families.

Under Dr. Jagger's leadership, Damascus School strives to provide students with opportunities that extend beyond academics. Students are encouraged to develop qualities such as responsibility, respect, perseverance, teamwork, leadership, and kindness while discovering their individual interests and talents.
From the first day of Kindergarten through the completion of eighth grade, the goal is to help students develop the academic foundation, confidence, and independence necessary to successfully continue their education.

Erica Cavanaugh serves as Assistant Principal of Damascus School in the Wayne Highlands School District. Working alongside the school's administration, faculty, and staff, she helps support a positive educational environment where students are encouraged to learn, grow, develop confidence, and become responsible members of their school community.

As Assistant Principal, Mrs. Cavanaugh plays an important role in the daily life of Damascus School. Her leadership helps support students academically, socially, and personally while contributing to a school environment built upon respect, responsibility, safety, and achievement.
Serving students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 provides a unique opportunity to help children through many different stages of their development. From welcoming young students beginning their educational journey to helping eighth-grade students prepare for high school, the administration at Damascus works to ensure that students receive the guidance and encouragement they need.

Timothy Morgan serves as Superintendent of Schools for the Wayne Highlands School District, providing leadership to a school community dedicated to educational excellence, student achievement, innovation, and opportunity. As Superintendent, Mr. Morgan works closely with the Board of Education, administrators, faculty, staff, students, families, and community members to guide the District and ensure that students receive a high-quality educational experience.
Leadership Focused on Students
At the center of Mr. Morgan's leadership is a commitment to the students of Wayne Highlands. From a child's first day of Kindergarten through graduation from Honesdale High School, the District strives to provide an educational environment where students can learn, grow, discover their talents, and prepare for successful futures.
As Superintendent, Mr. Morgan provides leadership across the District's academic programs, operations, student services, technology, facilities, safety initiatives, extracurricular programs, and long-term planning. His role helps bring these different areas together around a common purpose—supporting students and the educators who serve them.

Wayne Highlands School District serves students through Stourbridge Primary School, Lakeside Elementary School, Wayne Highlands Middle School, Honesdale High School, Damascus School, Preston School, and the Wayne Highlands Virtual Campus.
Although each school has its own traditions and identity, Mr. Morgan works with District administrators to maintain a shared commitment to academic achievement, responsible leadership, student wellness, innovation, and continuous improvement.
