The people who make it happen here at Stourbridge Primary Center
Christopher Pietraszewski serves as Principal of Stourbridge Primary Center in the Wayne Highlands School District. Located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, Stourbridge serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 2, providing our youngest learners with a welcoming and supportive beginning to their educational journey.
As Principal, Mr. Pietraszewski works closely with students, teachers, support staff, families, and District administration to create a school environment centered on learning, kindness, safety, respect, and student success.
The primary years are among the most important in a child's educational development. During these formative years, students begin developing the academic, social, and personal skills that will provide the foundation for everything that follows.
Mr. Pietraszewski is committed to ensuring that Stourbridge students receive meaningful educational experiences that encourage them to read, write, explore, create, communicate, and solve problems.
Through strong instruction and caring support, students develop essential skills while discovering the excitement and joy that can come from learning something new.
For many children, Stourbridge Primary Center represents their first experience as members of the Wayne Highlands School District family.
Mr. Pietraszewski recognizes the importance of making those first school experiences positive and memorable. Working alongside Stourbridge's dedicated faculty and staff, he helps foster an environment where students feel welcomed, valued, supported, and excited to come to school.
Students are encouraged to demonstrate kindness, responsibility, cooperation, respect, and good citizenship as they learn how to become positive members of their classroom and school communities.
Great schools are built by educators who care deeply about their students.
As Principal, Mr. Pietraszewski works collaboratively with teachers and support staff to promote high-quality instruction and provide students with the resources and experiences they need to succeed.
Stourbridge students receive instruction in essential academic areas while also having opportunities to experience music, art, physical education, technology, library activities, and other enrichment programs that contribute to the development of the whole child.
Families play an essential role in the success of young learners. Strong communication and collaboration between home and school help children understand that their families and educators are working together to support them.
Mr. Pietraszewski values the partnership among parents, families, teachers, administrators, and support staff and recognizes the important role these relationships play in creating a positive educational experience.
School activities, celebrations, and special events also provide opportunities for families to become involved and create lasting memories with their children.
From the excitement of the first day of Kindergarten through the completion of second grade, Stourbridge students experience tremendous growth.
They become stronger readers, writers, thinkers, problem-solvers, classmates, and increasingly independent learners. At the conclusion of their time at Stourbridge, students are prepared to continue their Wayne Highlands educational journey at Lakeside Elementary School.
Mr. Pietraszewski and the Stourbridge team work to ensure that students leave with not only a strong academic foundation but also the confidence, curiosity, responsibility, and love of learning necessary for future success.
