Honesdale High School Celebrates the Class of 2026

Congratulations to the Honesdale High School Class of 2026!

On Friday, June 12, 2026, the Wayne Highlands School District proudly celebrated the graduation of the Honesdale High School Class of 2026. A total of 153 members of the senior class were listed to receive their diplomas, marking the completion of an important chapter in their lives and the beginning of many exciting journeys ahead.

The commencement ceremony celebrated years of hard work, friendships, accomplishments, challenges, and memories. Surrounded by their families, teachers, administrators, classmates, and members of the Wayne Highlands community, the graduates were recognized for reaching one of life's most memorable milestones.

Celebrating Student Leadership

Class President Otto Lohse reflected on the experiences the Class of 2026 shared and the importance those years will have in shaping their lives. The class was also represented by Salutatorian Lily Grace Head and Valedictorian Owen Thomas Pender, whose commencement remarks encouraged their classmates to appreciate the present, recognize those who supported them, and approach the future with perseverance and purpose.

The ceremony was also particularly meaningful for members of the senior band and chorus, who performed together one final time as Honesdale High School students.

Proud to Be a Hornet

Graduation represents much more than receiving a diploma. For the Class of 2026, it represents years of learning in the classrooms of the Wayne Highlands School District, participation in athletics and extracurricular activities, performances on our stages, friendships formed, challenges overcome, and countless experiences that helped prepare each graduate for the future.

Whether our graduates are continuing their education, entering the workforce, pursuing technical training, serving our country, or following another path, they leave Honesdale High School carrying with them the experiences and relationships that helped shape who they have become.

As these newest alumni move forward, they will always remain an important part of the Wayne Highlands School District family and the proud tradition of Honesdale High School.

To the Honesdale High School Class of 2026: dream boldly, work hard, remember where your journey began, and never underestimate what you are capable of accomplishing.
