Area Schools Rank Well on 2026 U.S. News and World Report

Area schools scored well on the U.S. News and World Report’s rankings for 2026. U.S. News ranks over 100,000 K-12 schools nationwide based on academic performance, proficiency in math and language arts, and post high school readiness, among other factors depending on the type of education. 675 Pennsylvania high schools were ranked, and most in our area landed in the top 33%, with Delaware Valley being the highest ranked in the area at #50--placing it in the top 10% of schools statewide. Honesdale was #122, Wallenpaupack Area was #195, Forest City was #208, and Western Wayne was #224. Sullivan West School District was ranked in the top quarter of New York Schools, ranking #343 out of 1,383
