SMS and Text Message Terms of Service
Wayne Highlands School District community members who opt-in to receive SMS and text messages from applications including RingCentral should be aware of the following terms of service:
No Consent Sharing for Marketing Purposes
No mobile opt-in or text message consent will be shared with third-parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Types of Messages Distributed
Recipients can expect conversational messaging, similar to SMS or texts exchanged between mobile devices including updates about your building, service, or other relevant information.
How do we obtain consent to send text messages?
We get consent verbally by asking, "Do you agree to receive delivery notifications text messages from Wayne Highlands School District. Reply STOP to opt-out; Reply HELP for support; Message & data rates may apply; Messaging frequency may vary. Visit http://whsdk12.com/services/tech/privacy/ to see our privacy policy and https://whsdk12.com/services/tech/sms for our Terms of Service."
SMS and Text Message Disclosures for Recipients
Upon consent, recipients can expect to receive confirmation from the SMS sender with standard SMS and text message disclosures, such as:
